Thailand’s only island-based sober living residence.

A private island residence for those ready

to build a sober life, at their own pace.

A Private Sanctuary

Island Sober Living sits behind its own walls on the tranquil island of Koh Yao Noi - six self-contained double rooms, private and small by design, for clients arriving from detox, rehab, or treatment, or continuing independent sober living.

A high-end, reflective environment with professional oversight, built for lasting change.

The Programme

At the centre of every stay is a structured sober living curriculum,

built over a decade of professional care experience and rebuilt for private,

residential, person-centred sober living on Koh Yao Noi.

Ten modules, chosen and sequenced around the individual.

From rebuilding self-esteem and relapse prevention, to coping strategies and the relationships addiction leaves behind — all in service of learning to live life on life's terms.

Nothing generic, nothing off the shelf. Every stay begins with a written record of the resident's own wants, needs and expectations, and closes with a matching review. This ensures a clear, person-centred way of measuring whether those expectations were met.

Selected. Sequenced. Never applied as a default.

Environment as Medicine

We believe sober living isn't only about stopping substances or behaviours. It's about learning to live well and reconnect with yourself, which takes a genuine shift in environment as much as anything clinical.

Koh Yao Noi offers that shift naturally. It's a quiet island with no large nightlife districts and only a handful of bars, shaped by a strong local community and a slower pace than much of Thailand's coast.

Surrounded by nature and a compassionate team, residents have the space to reflect and build the skills a new life needs.

The residence bridges the gap between clinical treatment and independent sober living. Just the safety net we think lasting change requires.

The Residence

Every room is spacious, private, and self-contained. Designed for restful sober living and quiet reflection. Shared spaces are built for honest conversation and peer-led connection, and the pace of island life sits behind everything, the quiet backdrop residents return to between sessions and activities.

WHY KOH YAO NOI

An Island Built
for a Quieter Recovery

Koh Yao Noi offers something genuinely valuable for people in sober living: distance from the pressures, triggers and distractions of nightlife, while remaining surrounded by natural beauty, local community, and space to build a healthier daily routine. It is not an isolated or restrictive setting. It is a peaceful one, where residents can focus on themselves with real purpose.

Set in Phang Nga Province between Phuket and Krabi, the island has developed at a gentler pace than much of Thailand's tourist coast - fewer crowds, and a stronger connection to local community life. There are no large nightlife districts and no beach-party culture; only a handful of bars, and many restaurants that don't serve alcohol. Evenings settle into a genuinely quiet rhythm.

The island is home to a predominantly Muslim community, with deep ties to family, faith, fishing, farming and traditional island life - a community that has actively preserved the island's peaceful character and resisted large-scale bar or party development. Residents are encouraged to respect local customs, which in turn supports the mindfulness, consideration and responsibility that matter so much in long-term sober living.

Beaches, rubber plantations, mangroves, fishing villages and the limestone islands of Phang Nga Bay offer constant, easy opportunities to reconnect with nature: walking, swimming, kayaking, cycling, and quiet time outdoors, all supporting a structured, balanced routine that shows a fulfilling life doesn't need to revolve around alcohol, drugs, or impulsive behaviour.
